Compartment Syndrome of the Forearm Following a Moderately Displaced Fracture of the Radial Head- A Very Rare Complication Encountered in Orthopaedic Practice | Chapter 03 | Issues and Developments in Medicine and Medical Research Vol. 4

Forearm compartment syndrome is a rare complication of radial head fractures. A 10-year-old child developed acute volar compartment syndrome of the forearm after a little displaced fracture of the radial head, which was rare. Forearm volar fasciotomy and open radial head fracture reduction with Krishner wire were performed on the patient. As a result of the immediate intervention, the patient had a positive postoperative outcome and is likely to have a satisfactory functional recovery.
