During routine dissection at Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College in Pimpri, Pune, India, a variation of the brachial artery was discovered. Because it arose from the third part of the axillary artery and was superficial to the axilla's nerves and vessels, it was given the name superficial brachial artery. The Radial and Ulnar arteries split from the superficial brachial artery. The axillary artery also served as a common trunk for the subscapular and anterior circumflex scapular arteries. Its embryological foundation is also examined, as well as specific observations.
