Fly Ash from Coal Combustion Produced in Greece: A Review | Chapter 7 | Recent Trends in Chemical and Material Sciences Vol.6

So far, extensive research on CFAs from Greece has been conducted on a variety of topics, including their content of radioactive isotopes, trace elements, and PAHs, their use in engineering works, agriculture, waste management, trace element behaviour and leachability, the production of synthetic zeolites, and their impact on soil properties and plant growth. As a result, it is assumed that there is sufficient information on the various uses for this unavoidable by-product of lignite combustion. The goal of this study was to provide a synoptic presentation of the findings of this research in comparison to similar concerns in the world's major CFA manufacturers, as well as proposals for CFA application prospects in Greece.
