Primary adenoid cystic carcinoma of the lung (ACC) is an uncommon tumour that accounts for just 0.04-0.2% of all primary pulmonary malignancies. Primary lung ACC usually strikes between the ages of 40 and 60. It was previously known as bronchial adenoma, which implied a benign glandular neoplasm. It is currently thought to be a low-grade bronchial carcinoma, nevertheless. Pulmonary ACC is a slow-growing tumour that usually develops in the proximal tracheobronchial tree. A 20-year-old woman was presented with a 20-day history of cough without expectoration, weight loss, fever, and anorexia. On Ultrasound Sonography (USG), a well-defined mixed echogenic lesion measuring approximately 10x7 cm was discovered in the left upper zone. Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology was performed under USG guidance. The cytopathology revealed primary adenoid cystic carcinoma of the lung. Fine needle aspiration cytology is a straightforward procedure that can help with pre-operative diagnostics. However, cytological diagnosis of adenoid cystic carcinoma of the lung is difficult. As a result, histolopathological research backs it up.
