Appraisal on Live Virtual Machine Migrations and Its Approaches | Chapter 03 | Novel Perspectives of Engineering Research Vol. 6

 Today's world is dominated by the Internet. Almost everyone uses the internet to access various services. Various cloud users want a range of services based on their dynamically changing demands over the internet in Cloud Computing. As a result, cloud computing's task is to provide all of the desired services to cloud users. However, due to limited resources, it is extremely difficult for cloud providers to supply all of the requested services in a timely manner. Cloud resources must be allocated fairly from the standpoint of cloud providers. As a result, meeting cloud consumers' QoS requirements and satisfaction is a hot topic. Virtualization abstracts resources such as CPU and Memory to allow for more efficient resource consumption. In cloud computing, virtual machine migration is one of the most important approaches for dynamic resource management. The process of moving a virtual machine from one physical host to another is known as migration. This study focuses on critical performance issues, challenges, and techniques for cloud computing live virtual machine migration. It also outlines and concentrates on the fundamental challenges surrounding these existing live virtual machine migration solutions.
