The most relevant analytical approach for the measurement of Cefadroxil antibiotic is presented in this study.
Cefadroxil is a semi-synthetic -lactam antibiotic from the cephalosporin family
that has a long duration of action. This substance works against bacteria that
cause infections in the urinary system, skin, and soft tissue, as well as
pharyngitis and laryngitis. For the determination of cefadroxil in biological
fluids and pharmaceutical samples, a number of analytical approaches have been
developed. The spectrophotometric approach was accomplished utilising an
oxidative coupling reaction with chloranillic acid and MBTH as reagents at 535
nm and 420 nm absorbance with linear ranges of 15-415 g/ml and 1-12 g/ml. In
several application areas, such as pharmaceutical and clinical analysis, speed
of analysis has become critical in order to enhance throughput and lower costs.
Because of its low detection limit and large linear dynamic range, it has
become a valuable analytical tool for pharmaceuticals in general and CFL
determination in particular in recent years. In this way, the freshly developed
approaches open up new avenues for boosting their efficiency.
