The latest breakthroughs in functional neurosurgery surgical procedures are described in this book. We outline how we approach treating certain disorders. The use and integration of neuro-monitoring techniques in brain tumour surgery, the surgical technique for performing frameless deep brain stimulation, epilepsy surgery principles, indications, and surgical techniques, neuronavigated microvascular decompression for the treatment of neurovascular conflicts, percutaneous balloon compression for the treatment of drug-resistant trigeminal neuralgia, and techniques for spinal cord stimulation and intrathymial stimulation We discuss the primary reasons for each surgical treatment and focus on the technical elements of various surgical procedures, giving a simple guide to approaching various disorders throughout the functional neurosurgery spectrum.
