The COVID-19 outbreak gives Sub-Saharan African countries a chance to reconsider their foreign affiliations and national goals. Having raw stuff isn't going to help you advance. Only local industry is capable of doing so. They must provide favourable conditions for the growth of local firms in all disciplines, especially in the food and health industries, which will help other sectors expand. Cameroon now has access to all of the resources necessary to reverse hearing loss. Every year, the sector gains more otorhinolaryngologists, speech therapists, hearing aid fitters, cochlear implant surgeons, and other specialists. With the SON'OR device, the country may take the lead in hearing screening. Our goal is to have a national universal newborn hearing screening programme implemented. Early detection and rehabilitation are aided by this programme. In the disciplines of otorhinolaryngology, as well as other medical and non-medical fields, BENDO will continue to improve and innovate. It will shortly ship an electronic computer-based pure tone audiometer and a digital hearing aid, among other things.
