The Pensions and Insurance Authority (PIA), its regulatory structure, mission, operations, and achievements in Zambia are all examined in this article. The Authority today plays an important role in the country's economy, and the potential it provides are tremendous, not only in terms of industrial growth but also in terms of ensuring a robust regulatory environment. People get insurance to protect themselves from financial loss in the event that anything bad happens to them or their possessions. An insurance policy is a contract between the insurer and the insured. The insurer is the entity that provides the insurance coverage. The policyholder, also known as the proposer, is the one who buys the insurance.
