Education in the Pursuit of Truth Good Beauty- Disseminating Truth in Confucius' Philosophy of Education, Good Beauty as Self-Cultivation & Its Enlightenment in Early Childhood Education| Chapter 3 | Current Research in Language, Literature and Education Vol. 5

The Six Arts, which comprise li or rituals (good), yue or music (beauty), she or archery (truth), yu or charioteering (truth), shu or reading (truth), and *shu or mathematics, are taught in Confucian schools (truth). The educational goals, curriculum, and techniques of Confucius reflect the features of ancient China's educational system. Confucian pedagogy focuses on three primary instructions: linking knowing and doing, instructing pupils depending on their ability, and leading with expertise. The educational goals, curriculum, and techniques of Confucius reflect the features of ancient China's educational system. This research looks at Confucius' educational purpose of nurturing the complete development of the self as self-cultivation from the position of truth, good, and beauty. An overview of contemporary concerns in early childhood education is provided. The value of modern educational research is examined through the lens of Confucius' education.
