This study studies the energy consumption of the existing modulation scheme and considers efficient options using OPNET Modeler 14.5 for wireless Sensor networks (WSN). A wireless sensor network (WSN) is made up of tiny nodes that can communicate in a homogeneous or heterogeneous network. The physical parameters of a wireless sensor node are affected by the Digital Modulation approach. The Bit Error Rate (BER), packet loss ratio, Signal to Noise (SNR) ratio, received power, and consumed energy characteristics all influence the results of our investigation at different duty cycles. The efficiency of the Quadrature amplitude modulation-64(QAM-64) modulation scheme over other modulations in terms of optimal S/N ratio, received power, and low energy consumption inside the GTS node was demonstrated by the derived results.
