Briefly stated and applied to cosmological models is a theory of gravity in flat space-time. These models begin with a gravitational field that is equally distributed yet devoid of substance. The whole energy of matter and gravity is preserved when gravitational energy is transformed to matter. There is no singularity (no great bang) in the emerging cosmos, and it is not growing. A gravitational impact causes redshift. It then changes the gravitational field by transforming gravitational energy to matter. This is a distinct gravitational theory from general relativity that provides the same outcomes to measurable precision for weak gravitational fields as general relativity. The application of gravity in flat space-time to cosmology has no singularity, i.e. it is not general relativity with a singularity, as in the big bang theory.
