Commentary on Maternal and Perinatal Mortality in Nigeria: Establishment of Obstetric Waiting Units and Targeting Uterine Rupture | Chapter 18 | Highlights on Medicine and Medical Research Vol. 10

 Patients with ruptured uteruses may lose both their kids and their lives due to a lack of transportation, particularly in remote areas where there is little or no access to health institutions where basic obstetric treatment may be provided; as a result, patients with burst uteruses may lose both their babies and their lives. Governments, non-governmental organisations, religious groups, community leaders, multinational corporations, and international organisations must all join the effort to reduce risk factors for uterine rupture.
