The historical centre is a portion of the city with distinct environmental, architectural, and historical values that derives from the structural continuity of the urban fabric. This complicated reality necessitates a thorough study in order to determine the most appropriate methods for implementing functional transformations and system changes while maintaining historical building values. In terms of technology and energy efficiency, each building must make the necessary modifications and functional modifications. The results of a multidisciplinary study effort on the historical centre of Ceglie Messapica (BR, Italy) are discussed. They lead to mulation standards for the important conservative repair of historical buildings.
