Restoration of Koolipalayam Reservoir by Using Bioclean STP Technology in Tirupur District, Tamilnadu | Chapter 14 | Emerging Trends in Engineering Research and Technology Vol. 5

This study revealed a poor situation for the  lack of water bodies and the available water bodies being polluted by dying unit effluents and other harmful industrial effluents being let out into the available water source due to lack of waste disposal units. The demand for water in and around Tirupur region is very high as the water bodies are very few in number even the available water bodies are being polluted by dying unit effluents and other harmful industrial effluents being let out into the available water source due to lack of waste disposal units. This Kollipalayam reservoir has been a home for several inland and migratory birds for centuries. The water source is the Nallar River, flowing from the Avinashi big Tank and few sewage canals, carrying the effluents and sewage from Tirupur town. Eventually the water level has never come down due to the above sources. The flora and fauna of this tank attracts as many as 135 species of birds from all over. Inland birds like Spot-billed Pelicans, Painted Storks, and etc. It also brings in a huge number of species from other parts of the World during the winter. Starting from November, every year, various birds flock in to kollipalayam reservoir and spend their winter and leave back to their home by the end of March. Bio-Ozolyte Technology has been implemented to treat and restoration the water in the reservoir. In this technology involves three treatments they are biological treatment, Ozone treatment and Anoyte treatment. This study strongly recommends increases the dissolved oxygen level in the water and makes the water favorable for existence of organisms and fit for usage. If this reservoir is restored, all water demands in and around Tirupur can be met.

Lake Management: A Case Study | Chapter 9 | Geography, Earth Science and Environment: Research Highlights Vol. 3

Nowadays, the preoccupation with the environment is increasing. This awareness is a realistic and pragmatic choice owing to the numerous negative impacts of non-environmental-friendly technologies. Eutrophication is one of the major threats to aquatic ecosystems such as lakes. In terms, it may lead to the complete degradation of water quality as well as its environment. As the lake is deeply involved in many ecosystem services, the restoration of eutrophic lakes is very important. The analysis of the water quality of Efoulan Lake shows that Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Nitrate, CO2 and orthophosphate were 0.08 mg/L, 34 mg/L, 40.5 mg/L and 40 mg/L respectively. This confirms the dystrophic character of the lake. The restoration solutions include dry dredging, sanitation of the River NTSOMO (the lake's tributary), and political measures to encourage the adoption of decentralized green systems.

Rehabilitation of Lost Vertical Dimension Using Pankey Mann Schuyler Concept | Chapter 1 | Current Practice in Medical Science Vol. 5

In the management of badly worn dentition, it is usual practice to raise the occlusal vertical dimension in order to have adequate repair space. The impact of this divisive belief on the odonto-stomatognathic system has generated discussion. Regarding the perception of an increase in the occlusal vertical dimension, there are fundamental uncertainties and false beliefs currently held. Reconstructing a weakened dentition is stressful due to the widely differing opinions on choosing a suitable occlusal plan for a successful complete mouth rehabilitation. There are numerous schools of thought to follow for occlusal rehabilitation, the two most well-known of which are Hobo's philosophy and Pankey Mann Schuyler's philosophy. The Pankey Mann Schuyler idea offers a straightforward, step-by-step process to follow in whole mouth rehabilitation instances. The case of a 38-year-old male patient who reported of pain in his left TMJ region and showed significant attrition upon oral inspection is covered in this paper. He underwent complete mouth occlusal rehabilitation. The Pankey Mann Schuyler principle underpinned the therapy, which also included an occlusal analysis using the Broadrick flag.

Thickness and Fracture Toughness Relationship in Ceramic Partial Restorations | Chapter 15 | Issues and Developments in Medicine and Medical Research Vol. 8

Concerns about the aesthetics and biocompatibility of dental restorations are growing. Ceramic materials were created in response to the growing need for tissue preservation, aesthetics, and fracture resistance. However, their high clinical failure rate in posterior sites is a significant disadvantage. The effect of thickness and material type on the resistant fracture of ultra-thin ceramic restorations is described in this work. The restorative portion of the procedure should not damage the remaining tooth structure any further. Traditional onlays and full crowns are being replaced with ultrathin restorations (veneers, onlays, and inlays). the technical requirements for the success and favourable prognosis of those novel restorative designs based on tooth preparation control with diagnostic wax-up, provisionalization, and the utilisation of CAD-CAM technology .

Historic Centers Restoration and Ancient Buildings Energetic Efficiency Improvement | Chapter 8 | Advanced Aspects of Engineering Research Vol. 8

The historical centre is a portion of the city with distinct environmental, architectural, and historical values that derives from the structural continuity of the urban fabric. This complicated reality necessitates a thorough study in order to determine the most appropriate methods for implementing functional transformations and system changes while maintaining historical building values. In terms of technology and energy efficiency, each building must make the necessary modifications and functional modifications. The results of a multidisciplinary study effort on the historical centre of Ceglie Messapica (BR, Italy) are discussed. They lead to mulation standards for the important conservative repair of historical buildings.
