Is Six Sigma an Appropriate Approach to Evaluate Performance of Testing Laboratories? | Chapter 15 | Advanced Aspects of Engineering Research Vol. 8

 Six Sigma is a management method that has been used by firms such as Motorola and General Electric. Recognizing great success in terms of worldwide profitability and customer satisfaction in the business world, the health care industry can benefit from applying the same to attain comparable benefits; Six Sigma is currently being spread in numerous laboratories throughout the world. Despite this, just a few studies on the subject have been published in peer-reviewed journals. The purpose of this article is to focus on different aspects of Six Sigma and how it has been successfully applied in testing laboratories, as well as to examine publications and publications that explore Six Sigma strategy implementation in the laboratory field.
