In underdeveloped nations like India, large abdomino-pelvic masses that present to the gynaecology outpatient department are fairly common. As a result, understanding the differential diagnosis of such masses, such as dermoid cysts, sero-mucinous cystadenoma, and leiomyoma, is critical. Germ cell tumours account for about 25-30% of all ovarian tumours, with 95 percent of these being benign. Approximately 10% to 20% of these tumours are benign cystic teratomas (Dermoid cyst).
