Introduction: The patient's environment could be a source of infection for both the patient and the health-care staff. Cleaning the medical environment on a regular basis is important for reducing the risk of hospital-acquired infections. As a result, it's important to clean the patient's environment on a regular basis using correct techniques.
The disinfection protocol differs a lot from hospital to
hospital, but there are a few things that hospital policymakers can keep in
mind.
Methodology: There is an increased risk of errors in hospitals where
disinfection work is often delegated to hospital attendants who are unfamiliar
with infection control practises. In hospital settings, there are a few common
errors that must be identified and corrected. The person doing the disinfection
should pay particular attention to the infection control aspect.
As a result of this effort, the management role, common errors, and mop
handling technique during chemical disinfection of hospital surfaces using the
triple basin method have been highlighted.
