Cerebral Lipiodol Embolism after Interventional Lymphatic Embolization | Chapter 9 | Highlights on Medicine and Medical Research Vol. 8

 Lipiodol droplet migration via intrapulmonary lymphovenous contact may cause neurological symptoms to appear early after intranodal lymphangiography. By embolizing lymph leakages, lipiodol-based lymphangiography serves as a diagnostic and therapeutic method. Patients with potential intracardiac shunts are particularly vulnerable. Treatment is reassuring.
