Study on Contemporary Trends of Corporate Environmentalism in Iron Industry, with Special Reference of West Bengal, India | Chapter 10 | New Visions in Science and Technology Vol. 11

Since the dawn of time, India has been adept at adopting the concept of corporate environmentalism. Because iron and steel manufacturing in India has a history of more than 125 years and is one of the leading industries, it is preferable to analyse current corporate greening trends in relation to the iron industry. The study's goal is to aid in GAP analysis by examining the environmental management practises of Iron Industries in detail in order to create a modern corporate environmentalism scenario. The findings demonstrate that Indian corporate environmentalism is a synthesis of Indian and European practises, and the Environmental Management System (EMS) is a fusion of both. Furthermore, India's iron industries are performing well as a result of this pattern. The study's relevance is fabricated in that it enlightens a recent fashion of corporate environmentalism in India, which may serve as a better source of inspiration and efficiency in catalysing corporate environmentalism.
