Envisioning Future a Metaphorical Conception for Entrepreneurship: A Case of Selected Religion Higher Learning Institution | Chapter 09 | New Visions in Science and Technology Vol. 11

 Leaders create engaging words that are presented through storytelling, metaphor, and analogy to articulate and activate a vision built on basic ideology. By developing a unifying picture, the envisioning process instils confidence in followers. The big aim is vision, and it has elements that are vital for future realisation, such as principles and motivation. Principles are basic beliefs and purpose, whereas motivation is the process of using metaphor and imagination to describe a large aim. In a similar vein, the component of envisioning has characteristics that are similar to entrepreneurship practise. Metaphor and imagination is a gift and potential used to encourage and instil confidence in followers with ceaseless efforts; in a similar vein, the component of envisioning feature has similar characteristics with entrepreneurship practise. The experience of a religion education institution's case study demonstrates that imagining the future and core philosophy manifest Christian believe is more important than the institution's vision. Nonetheless, religious, private, and public institutions use the same tools for imagining the future in similar ways. Collins and Porras' experience shows that successful businesses employ guiding concepts (Core Ideology), motivation (Envisioned Future), and eight other traits.
