Livelihood Development through Kenena Sugar Company’s CSR Case study of Fongoga Cluster Community | Chapter 10 | New Innovations in Economics, Business and Management Vol. 4

According to the findings, livestock ownership is mostly limited to resident households who own a modest number of small ruminants and poultry and sell them to cover food and medical bills. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) refers to techniques through which corporations, firms, or companies conduct their business in an ethical, community-friendly, and development-oriented manner. The importance of Kenena Sugar Company's CSR in community development in the Fongoga Cluster community is highlighted in this article. Primary data was obtained in a face-to-face interview session utilising a questionnaire designed to cover all areas of the investigation in open and closed-ended questions. The study enlisted the participation of 42 homes. According to the findings, the company's intervention and operations in the investigated community had a favourable impact on the livelihoods of some of the households.
