Determining the Role of Benzyl Adenine in Advancing Goals of Biotechnology | Chapter 07 | Innovations in Microbiology and Biotechnology Vol. 3

No one can deny the significance of plant pests and diseases, as well as their devastating impact in human existence, today. It is self-evident that increasing plant productivity for diverse objectives of plant disease protection is the best and safest strategy for plant protection. We must use other strategies due to the limits of conventional plant breeding. Biotechnology is a cutting-edge method for increasing the efficiency of plant and food production. Biotechnology's two most important components are gene transfer and tissue culture. The creation of regeneration systems for cells and plants that have been altered via gene transfer should be low-cost and straightforward. As we saw and examined in the case of several distinct plant species, benzyl adenine (BA) is a plant hormone that is inexpensive and easy to get.
