Crime has been rapidly progressing into the universe of data and innovation in recent years. Cybercrime has become a part of today's world, causing harm to individuals, organisations, and, unexpectedly, the government. Cybercrime detection measures and grouping techniques have produced varying degrees of success in preventing and shielding data from such attacks. A number of laws and tactics have been developed to combat cybercrime, and the hoodlums have been sentenced to prison. Nonetheless, the analysis shows that many countries are still coping with this problem, and the United States of America is suffering the most severe consequences as a result of cybercrime in the long run. This chapter describes the typical areas where cybercrime occurs, as well as the many types of cybercrime that are perpetrated nowadays.
