The goal of this study is to create parametric accelerated life testing (ALT) as a systematic reliability approach for creating reliability quantitative (RQ) requirements – mission cycle – in mechanical goods. The use of parametric ALT to mechanical systems subjected to repetitive impact loads enhances fatigue failure prediction. It consists of four components: (1) a parametric ALT plan based on the system's BX lifetime, (2) a fatigue failure and design, (3) customised ALTs with design possibilities, and (4) an assessment of whether the system's most recent design(s) fits the BX lifetime target. A generalised life-stress model and a sample size equation are provided. The concept was presented utilising a newly built mechanical domestic refrigerator hinge kit system (HKS). Multiple impact loads were applied to the HKS, resulting in field failure. To determine the amount of accelerated testing required, The HKS was subjected to a basic impact loading when the refrigerator door was shut using a force and momentum balance. The hinge kit housing was changed after the HKS housing collapsed during the original ALT. Inner supporting ribs were attached to the HKS to provide enough mechanical strength against its loading. At the second ALT, the torsional shaft in HKS made of austenitic ductile iron (18 wt% Ni) failed. The damaged torsional shaft of the second ALT was caused by inadequate rounding, which failed under repetitive load. As part of the modification, the torsional shaft was rounded from R0.5mm to R2.0mm of a strategy for ensuring enough material strength for recurrent impact loads Following these adjustments, there were no difficulties at third ALT.
