Generalized Solution of One-Dimensional Radial Fin by Frobenius Method with Application on Finned Electric Motor | Chapter 02 | Recent Advances in Mathematical Research and Computer Science Vol. 6

Electric motors, which are vital in the industry since they are employed in machines of various types, are an example of an industrial application of extended surfaces. In this study, generalised one-dimensional models are used to specify physical and thermal characteristics applied to extended surfaces. Results for temperature, heat transfer rate, efficacy, and efficiency are provided to compare the one-dimensional radial fin model, "Frobenius Method," with the mathematical model already created and approved, named "Improved One-dimensional Classic Radial Fin" in the literature. For effectiveness and efficiency, the results of the two-dimensional model for the radial fin were quantitatively compared to the results of the generalised one-dimensional models. With a 5.82 aspect ratio, the finned electric motor offers numerical and pictorial effects. The equivalence of one-dimensional models is clear when the Reynolds number range and aspect ratio value are evaluated.
