Studies of the Effect Organ-mineral Fertilizers on the Quality of Nitisol and Coffee Yield | Chapter 2 | Emerging Issues in Agricultural Sciences Vol. 2

Organ-not organic fertilizers can improve soil status and increase crop yields. The present research was carried out in a Nitisol located in Topes de Collantes, from the city of Trinidad, Sancti Spiritus province, Cuba, accompanying the objective of evaluating the effects of means- mineral fertilizers on soil character and its impact on espresso yield. Three experiments were carried out accompanying organic fertilizers and natural mineral: organic fertilizers (residues from the wettish coffee benefit, compost) organic minerals (phosphate rock formed from sediment, dolomitic limestone). Two of these experiments were conducted under almost-controlled environments, and one of them was a field experiment. Organic waste levels and consolidations of organic waste accompanying natural minerals were judged by random block design. The field experiment was administered for 3 years in a coffee ranch. The following indicators were judged: organic matter, phosphorus and assimilable potassium, pH, hydrolytic acridness, exchange acidity, interchangeable aluminum, permeability, stable aggregates, collection factor, dry pressure and coffee yield. Main components and natural correlations reasoning were used. Close relationships middle from two points physical and synthetic properties and performance were got in both reserved and field conditions. The properties judged as soil quality signs are organic matter, degree of collection, assimilable phosphorus, pH, and change sourness.
