Difficult Airway and Robotic Surgery: Dual Challenge to Anaesthesiologist | Chapter 13 | Research Developments in Medicine and Medical Science Vol. 9

Hemangioma is ultimate common benign tumour of vascular inception. Risk of rupture and bleeding poses risk to ventilating pipe. Fibreoptic intubation (FOI) to secure airway can be a valuable alternative in such a sketch. Steep Trendelenberg’s position with pneumoperitoneum in robotic resection causes respiratory changes accompanying airway oedema and congestion. Here, we present a case report of a 56-old age-old male patient the one underwent a robotic radical cystectomy accompanying ileal conduit and urethrectomy on account of a massive congenital spoken cavity birthmark and primary urothelial neoplasm of the pouch. We point out the importance of difficult airway administration by using fibre visual technique in such cases difficult by steep Trendelenburg’s position required all the while robotic surgeries.
