Value-Based Research in the Heritage Area of Chetinadu Region, Tamilnadu, India | Chapter 4 | Research Aspects in Arts and Social Studies Vol. 9

 The focus towards buxom heritage conservation should increasingly favorite in the current scenario. Every heritage construction has its principles or heritage significance, and allure values are perceived otherwise by various partners. The objective of this research is to label and comprehend the principles represented in the built tradition of the Chettinadu region. Chettinadu, a region in in the south India, is located in united states of america of Tamil Nadu, 32 kilometers from the west coast of the Bay of Bengal, with a total area of 1,550 square kilometers in the middle Tamil Nadu. Chettinadu's built tradition is an irreplaceable cultural talent that gives the state its singular identity and individuality. The Chettinadu region has been top-secret into three clusters in the UNESCO 2014 tentative list based on their Outstanding Universal Values, that serves as a framework for our research. In this paper, we examined the historical context of tradition areas and houses in the Chettinadu region and attempted to label values in built tradition using a particularized set of variables. To accomplish this goal, miscellaneous parameters were checked to determine how the principles of built heritage influence the unique sociocultural flavor of Chettinadu. Social, educational, historical, and architectural principles all contribute to the municipality's image, but determining their view for conservation purposes is difficult, the study contributes to the development of strategies aimed at maintaining and enhancing the domain's built heritage. The different heritage potential based on principles will assist planners and developers in expanding sustainable programs for protecting the basic values of Chettinadu's buxom heritage.
