A Compact Frequency Reconfigurable Antenna for Wi-Fi, ITU and X-Band Applications | Chapter 2 | Fundamental Research and Application of Physical Science Vol. 2

A compact repetitiveness reconfigurable antenna that can switch between two-fold and triple bands for Wi-Fi (3.6 GHz, 5 GHz, and 5.9 GHz), ITU-band (7.725 GHz– 8.5 GHz) and X-band (8-12.5GHz. The Antenna exists of a modified circular ring formed radiator accompanying microstrip line feeding. The ground plane exists of a coplanar waveguide. Two PIN diodes are arranged in the ground plane for reaching the required commonness reconfigurability. The antenna has ranges of 35 mm x 30 mm x 1.6 mm. The wire is simulated utilizing HFSS. As the antenna is of very compact length, it can be favorite for portable requests.
