Novel Curcumin Analogues: Synthesis and Therapeutic Applications | Chapter 5 | Current Overview on Pharmaceutical Science Vol. 5

Curcumin is a biomolecule of significance on account of its beautiful pharmacological uses, but at the same time bearing allure own restraints, which involve imbalance, accelerated metabolism, and reduced bioavailability. Many attempts have happened implemented to erase the restraints joined, so as to enhance healing potential of curcumin. The combining of curcumin was always raise disputing due to allure well-proportioned form and hence drew basic and medicinal chemists. Modifying artificial route and parallel plotting, ranging from plain pungent/heterocyclic products to complex metal biography-conjugates trailed by their implications opens the excess of healing uses. Preparing nanoformulation, colloidal drug delivery orders, golden and mesoporous particles in addition to graphene, quantity dot, and composite nanosystems of curcumin is a very widely studied approach to overcome the disadvantages. Current review will specify an intuitiveness of novel synthetic approaches, new healing benefits of formulations, microscopic mechanisms of curcumin or of structurally changed curcumin grazing from diseased tumors, cardiovascular, apoptosis inducers to antimicrobial activities.
