A Comprehensive Study on Notoedris Mange or Feline Scabies | Chapter 1 | Newest Updates in Agriculture and Veterinary Science Vol. 3

 Feline disease given through sexual relations or Notoedric mange is precipitated by a tiny sarcoptiformis mite Notoedris cati. Clinically the cheetah reveales hair loss and harsh itching of skin. The lesion was visualized in ear, face, eyelid and narrow connector. Feet and lower abdomen was also visualized to be stirred to a lesser extent. Grossly the distressed areas were thickened, creased and covered with grayish/yellow crusts. Morphologically the bug is similar to Sarcoptes rash except the dorsally placed anus. Transmission is through close contact. Skin shave examination from the affected regions is the preferred habit of diagnosis. It can be doctored successfully accompanying ivermectin at the dose of 300 mcg/kg body burden sub - cutaneously at 4 days separate for 5 occasion; The condition should be differentiated fron Otodectic rash, Food allergy rash and Pemphigus complex.
