The nonlinear problem of the flow of Newtonian fluid in a
microchannel between two parallel plates was discussed in this paper with the
effects of velocity slip, viscous dissipation, and wall temperature leap. Both
the Navier-Stokes equation and the energy equation model this problem with two
thermal boundary conditions related to the two cases: the constant temperature
of the wall (CWT) and the constant heat flux (CHF). The effects of rarefaction
on the velocity profile and flow friction are studied. The results on the
Nusselt number Nu, with differences in the Brinkman number Br and Knudsen
number Kn for both (CWT) cases, are also attributable to the application. Case
and (CHF) are addressed.
