Our object is specifying the complications of foam sclerotherapy in the situation of telangiectatic veins and varicose veins in individuals accompanying chronic venous disorders. Chronic Venous Disease involves morphofunctional irregularities of the venous system, whose dispassionate manifestations arise the dysfunction of this scheme due to valve inability and/or obstruction of venous flow, subordinate to venous hypertension. It is a serious question, with a excellent socioeconomic impact on the lives of patients and on the well-being system general. The use of foam sclerotherapy for the treatment of varicose veins has raised in Brazil. Although it is a safe, smooth-to-perform and low-cost means, it presents complications from local to fundamental. The study describes the confusions of foam sclerotherapy in the treatment of telangiectatic veins and varicose veins in victims with never-ending venous disease. This is a bibliographical, exploratory, explanatory, and cross-sectional research, accompanying a search in the PubMed, BVS and Scielo databases in the last 5 years accompanying the keywords "chronic venous affliction", "varicose veins", "telangectatic veins", “foam sclerotherapy”, “complications” and their English language equivalents. The search game plan yielded 1,512 items; 54 publications were thought-out after administering the inclusion and exclusion tests, with after reading of the abstracts. Among these, 9 items were selected. These items analyzed a total of 1,001 individuals, 91.7% girls and 8.3% men, in accordance with the prevalence of the affliction between genders. Still, 55.56% of the items described polidocanol concentrations varying from 0.25% to 3%, like the recommendations used in sclerotherapy situation. The complication accompanying the highest occurrence was hyperpigmentation of the skin, found in 10.58% of the study shareholders, and in 2.96% there were no adverse occurrences. When performed right, foam sclerotherapy has a low occurrence of complications, most of that are benign. As demonstrated in this place work, the most frequent difficulties promote beautiful impairment, while the main complications are rare and fleeting. Thus, it is important that two together the doctor and the patient are aware of the risks and benefits of the process before deciding on allure performance.
