Quarry Dust: An Excellent Substitute for Manufactured Sand for the Production of Sustainable Foamed Concrete | Chapter 4 | Research Highlights in Science and Technology Vol. 7

 This branch focused on the incident of a design methodology for the manufacture of foamed factual building blocks, accompanying comparable compressive strength, utilizing quarry dust as substitute for manufactured sand. Foamed hardened is a versatile creation material, which is light in burden as well as thermally resistive. It maybe made indifferent densities in the range of 300 to 1800 kg/m3 by adjusting the quantity of fixed foam. Since there is exhaustion of river sand, an attempt has existed made in this place paper to study the possibility of resorting to manufactured sand as fine aggregate. Further, goal dust, an industrial waste material, has happened used as a substitute for made sand for the result of foamed concrete. Quarry dust has been additional at different percentages from 50 to 100. Protein type foaming power has been secondhand for the production of stable foam. It has existed observed that 70% of made sand can be dismissed with goal dust to achieve the maximum compressive strength distinguished to that of control concrete. Thermal generated power has been noticed to be decreased accompanying increase in quarry dust content. Hence, a very tenable foamed concrete can be willing with the use of mammoth quantity of quarry dust.
