Immunomodulator Pitodimod: Degradation and Impurity Profile Study | Chapter 7 | Novel Aspects on Pharmaceutical Research Vol. 6

Pidotimod is an immunostimulant, used to treat repeating and acute respiring tract infections. Degradation and pollution profiling is individual of the most fascinating, and main areas of drug analysis because current rules and standards demand that the drug industry should expand highly clean drug substances alongwith an in depth understanding of the degradants and contaminations. This book chapter covers the labeling, quantification and structural description of process and degradation connected impurities of Pidotimod in bulk drugs and their formulations. Pidotimod stress experiment and degradation create a likeness in a picture were carried out under ICH-recommended stress depravity protocols. The pollutions and degradats were separated on RP-C-18 column and established LC-MS-MS study the structures of degradants were supposed. The isolated impurity was typified based on IR, Mass and NMR study.
