Study on Lycopene accumulation in Difference Fruits | Chapter 06 | Emerging Challenges in Agriculture and Food Science Vol. 4

 Lycopene is a substance that has acquired popularity due to its alleged health advantages. decreasing the risk of cancer in several organs, in particular Prostate cancer is the most visible, followed by lung and stomach cancer. Lycopene has also been found to help prevent malignancies of the pancreas, colon, rectal, pharyngeal, oral, and breast. Mouth and milk. The goal of this research is to find out how much lycopene is in fresh fruits like tomatoes (Solanum Lycopersicum), watermelons (Citrullus lanatus var. lanatus), jackfruits (Artocarpus heterophyllus), bananas (Musa acuminata), grapes (Vitis vinifera), oranges (Citrus reticulata), and papayas (Citrus reticulata (Carica papaya). The researchers discovered that lycopene levels in tomatoes (Solanum Lycopersicum), watermelons (Citrullus lanatus var. lanatus), jackfruits (Artocarpus heterophyllus), bananas (Musa acuminata), grapes (Vitis vinifera), oranges (Citrus reticulata), and papayas (Carica papaya) were 104.6990.000, 144.270.001, The greatest lycopene was found in watermelons (Citrullus lanatus var. lanatus), while the least was found in jackfruits (Artocarpus heterophyllus). Lycopene (Lycopene) is a red pigment that can be found in a variety of fruits and vegetables. And is a carotene subunit that is an antioxidant. Lycopene is a vitamin that is good for your health (carotenoids). especially when it comes to skincare.
