A Functional View of Hybrid-Cloud Environment: An Approach towards Use Cases and Best Practices| Chapter 3 | New Approaches in Engineering Research Vol. 9

The additional flexibility and agility that it enables organisations for transferring their workloads and applications onto the cloud environment as business requirements and budgets alter, makes the Hybrid-Cloud Environment an interesting field of research. Governments, nonprofits, educational institutions, and Product and Service Oriented Companies are all using a hybrid-cloud deployment model to modernise their IT platform, improve service availability, expand IT capacity, and build highly reliable, fault-tolerant applications, systems, and infrastructure on cloud. and to be more innovative. This paper explores best practises for extending and enhancing hybrid-cloud infrastructures by smoothly integrating on-premises infrastructure with cloud native solutions from various cloud suppliers. The work in this paper also discusses some of the popular use cases and how organisations can leverage cloud analytics, artificial intelligence tools, and scalability of their Hybrid-Cloud Environment while also maintaining greater control and operational flexibility over their data for compliance purposes, in response to the complexities involved in hybrid-cloud deployment.
