The Impact of Static Var Compensator on Enhancement the Voltage Stability of Sudanese Power Grid| Chapter 7 | Techniques and Innovation in Engineering Research Vol. 8

Sudan National Grid has knowledgeable a continuous development in loads over ancient times ten years, in addition to a lack of result and congestion in broadcast substations and lines. This led to many blackouts. The Static Var Compensators (SVC) project was submitted as one of the answers to this issue in consideration of increase the voltage in the National Grid (NG) by providing appropriate sensitive capacity supply at the nine designated neighborhoods in order to address heat inconstancy issues. This study reassesses the project, particularly taking everything in mind the meaningful change that happened in the NG. The nine submitted substations (Port-Sudan (POR), Hag-Abdallah (HAG), Farooq (FAR), Mahadiya (MHD), Kuku (KUK), Local market (LOM), New Hasahisa (NHAS), Bagair (BAG), and Gamueia (GAM)) will all be judged and illustrate its influence on the total National Grid physical ability.
