An Overview on Rosacea and Its Treatment | Chapter 3 | Current Practice in Medical Science Vol. 4

Rosacea is a long-term inflammatory skin condition marked by flushing, erythema, pustules, and telangiectasia. Although a malfunctioning innate immune system can cause rosacea, the mechanism is uncertain. Additionally, environmental causes and inflammation may be to blame for dermatological conditions. There are four different forms of rosacea, each with a unique set of symptoms. Demodex, H. Pylori, and ultraviolet radiation are a few of the factors that might cause cancer. The FDA has authorised the topical alpha agonist for the treatment of rosacea. To lessen erythema brought on by class, a strong vasoconstrictor-loaded topical gel (0.33 percent) might be used. Herbal and laser therapies might be used in tandem to treat the illness.
