Exploring Diverse Interactions of Some Surface-Active Ionic Liquids with Amino Acids Prevalent in Aqueous Environments by Physicochemical Contrivance: Experimental investigation | Chapter 2| Progress in Chemical Science Research Vol. 2

With two (ILS) [BMIM] [C8SO4] and [MOIM] Cl and amino acids (AA) (AA = L-tyr, L-phe) using molar conductivity (Ʌ) at three different temperatures. I studied the molecular interaction of. .. In an aqueous medium. Spectroscopic experiments were performed to study the behavior of IL and  selected amino acids, and the spontaneity of the process. Amino acids are a component of proteins and are therefore used as model compounds.  Changes in the electronic states of different protons of IL in the presence of different amino acids were also verified by 1H NMR spectroscopy. Order  ([BMIM] [C8SO4] + L-tyr)> ([MOIM] Cl + L-tyr)> ([BMIM] [C8SO4]  + L-phe)> ([MOIM] Cl + L-phe) Used to interpret all  data in water in terms of possible molecular interactions. The experimental parameters obtained are very helpful in understanding the mixing effects and other complex biological processes that occur between amino acids and selected ionic liquids. Significant chemical shifts of ILs protons in the presence of amino acids in 1H NMR study  also  support  results obtained from other spectroscopic and conductivity measurements
