Palliative care is a comprehensive approach to treating those with chronic or terminal illnesses. The fact that treatment is provided from the moment of the illness's initial diagnosis causes parents of children with serious illnesses to feel a great deal of dread and anxiety. The primary goals are to provide interdisciplinary treatment, lessen pain, and improve quality of life. The entire family is treated with care and concern, not just the child who is afflicted with the illness. The paradigms of holistic care and PCT (Palliative care team) are also explained here, along with nursing care and the ethical concerns related to terminal illness.
