Investigation on Some Properties of Chemically Deposited Nanocrystalline CdZnS Compound- A Descriptive Study | Chapter 1 | New Trends in Physical Science Research Vol. 5

Chemical Method in Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) matrix solution at room temperature was used to develop nanocrystalline Cadmium Zinc sulphide (CdZnS) films onto cleaned glass substrates. The XRD method is employed to characterise the structure, and the investigation reveals the creation of nanoparticles that are smaller than CdS but larger than ZnS. The production of nanoparticles is also confirmed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images. The band gap energy of CdZnS is higher than that of CdS, according to an optical examination using a UV Spectrometer.
