Text Neck Syndrome: An Emerging Epidemic during COVID-19 Pandemic | Chapter 1 | New Horizons in Medicine and Medical Research Vol. 11

During the COVID-19 pandemic, text neck syndrome has become widespread. Many young people and kids who were attending school were working online and for extended periods of time due to lockdown and work from home. Text neck syndrome is becoming more common, especially during the COVID-19 epidemic phase, as a result of extended work hours and improper neck positions. In addition to shedding insights on the genesis, incidence, pathophysiology, symptoms and indicators, treatment, and prevention of text neck syndrome, this article also emphasises this significant public concern. It also provides a thorough treatment plan for text neck syndrome, emphasising the value of lifestyle changes, yoga, pranayam, and the reversal of modifiable risk factors, among other things. In this essay, both the preventative and therapeutic aspects are equally important.
