Different techniques, such as slow evaporation, rotation, and Sankaranarayanan-Ramasamy (SR) procedures, have been used to produce crystals of ammonium dihydrogen phosphate doped with glycine (GADP) at a variety of molar concentrations. ADP crystals are used extensively in transducer, electro-optic, and nonlinear optics technologies. The Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) studies on the created GADP crystals have been thoroughly explored. The additional peaks in the FTIR spectrum that are associated with the functional groups of glycine show how the dopant and ADP interact. Standard FTIR spectrum statistics show that the material contains all functional groups. The spectra for ADP crystals doped with glycine developed by rotation and SR techniques displayed similar peaks with little variation when compared to the glycine-doped ADP crystals produced by the traditional slow evaporation approach.
