The anaesthetic plan for tracheoesophageal fistula (TEF) repair has several key goals, including excellent analgesia and a comfortable post-operative recovery. The physiological immaturity of many bodily systems, poor tolerance to anaesthetic medicines associated with congenital heart disease, and the premature newborn all influence anaesthetic considerations in neonatal surgical situations. It has been proven that regional anaesthesia is both safe and effective. The effective TEF repair of a one-day-old baby using caudal epidural analgesia in conjunction with GA is described in this article. As a result, caudal block care in every TEF case results in excellent hemodynamic stability, postoperative pain reduction for a successful recovery, and enhanced baby survival. In neonates, caudal epidural analgesia can be used in conjunction with general anaesthesia.
