Different Representations of the Blueberry in Romanian Philately, 1964-2022 | Chapter 05 | Current Topics in Agricultural Sciences Vol. 6

Forest products play an important role in our lives in a variety of ways. Berries, for example, are still a valuable food item, with applications in both natural medicine and defining a healthy diet. Does blueberry, on the other hand, play any other functions in the community? Is it possible to see the blueberry from a different angle? Here are some of the questions we'd want to address. In order to demonstrate that there have been and continue to be worries about emphasising the function of berries in the community, the current study proposes to examine their whole philatelic history in Romania. The goal of this work was to see and examine how berries, particularly blueberries, are shown and promoted as ecological products and services in Romanian philately. As a result, the first approach is confined to the blueberry's philatelic appearances (postage stamps, "first day of issue" envelopes, maximum postcards, and occasional envelopes), which can be found on various platforms with philatelic material. The detected philatelic pieces reveal that there have been and continue to be concerns for the promotion of a healthy diet, a diet that may be thought of in a balanced approach by include the consumption of berries, particularly blueberries.
