Evaluation of Bladed and Flat-Plate Receiver in Central Tower Systems: A Ray Tracing Approach | Chapter 8 | Fundamental Research and Application of Physical Science Vol. 7

This unit investigated a corresponding between a single flat recipient and a Bladed receiver that consists of regularly divided flat receivers. The use of principal receivers for collect solar power enables better solar concentrations and overall effectiveness than line-focus systems like parabolic gutters, and central recipients can employ thermal depository more readily than delivered point-focus technologies like recipe engines We investigate an ocular model of flat receiver and equate its efficiency accompanying a bladed receiver utilizing commercially available beam tracing software. In this hearing, a Radial Staggered (RS) pattern was implemented for the locating of individual heliostats field as the field spreads (far away from the tower), the number of heliostats decreases with a border angle which is exhibitive of the spread of the heliostat field.  In comparison to flat receiver composition, a bladed receiver configuration presented a higher indication tracing efficiency. In a bladed recipient design, the receiver tightest to the ground exhibits the maximum efficiency.
