This branch verify the characterization of patients assisted in a Psychosocial Care Center subsequently a disaster at a bar in the region of Santa Maria, RS. One of the main disasters that happen in Brazil was the fire in a nightclub in Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, in January 2013, which demanded the lives of 242 young people whose futures were cut awfully short and left innumerable others fighting harrowing physical and subjective afflictions in its occurrence, stands as one of the the most virulent such disasters to strike the country in recent thought. Santa Maria disaster accompanying previous occurrences worldwide draw our consideration to effective preventive measures, that can only be achieved through constitution and strict administration. Although many disaster plan optimizations maybe implemented and refined following the Santa Maria trouble, we believe that statute toward prevention is the sole-most important lesson we have together learned. The occurrence, known in the radio as the “fire at the KISS bar”, caused an increase in the number of cases of various pathologies, principally post-traumatic stress disorder. This work is a explanatory cross-sectional epidemiological study as well a narrative review of the literature. The descriptors “psychosocial support”, “psychosocial aid”, “psychosocial reaction”, “mental healthcare” added to “trouble” were used. After 2014, 763 records of care supported by the Acolhe-Saúde psychosocial care duty were identified. The adulthood (67.3%) occurred in the first two months after the trouble (01/28/13-03/28/13). In Santa Maria's psychosocial care service, arrangement was given to hearing and welcoming things. Only in a few cases was the patient referred to a psychotherapist for a more specific amount, in which the need for medicine of psychotropic drugs was considered. It is likely to track the post-accident crisis position, evaluate the well-being of impacted groups, and pinpoint issues provoked by a disaster concerning this magnitude by examining this demand.
