A Survey on Fingerprint Liveness Detection Techniques | Chapter 5 | Research and Applications Towards Mathematics and Computer Science Vol. 2

The private authentication systems validate the identity of an individual the one is requesting service. The aim of these plans is to ensure that the duties are accessed only by permissible users and not by others. Biometrics are complicated in our daily life for freedom purpose. Fingerprints are used for labeling people for more than 2000 age. Fingerprint recognition system is most usual and popular biometric structure in many applications such as forensics, border control, and police officers. A biometric system is vulnerable to various types of attacks. A fingerprint biometric structure can be spoofed by constructing artificial fingerprints using lubricator, gelatin or elastic. Artificial fingerprints are created using matters like play-doh, lubricator, gelatin, and rubber. This book stage gives a literature survey of liveness detection methods for fingerprint biometric structure.
